Winter Solstice
Representing the astrological sign of Capricorn, symbolized by the goat, on the night of the winter solstice.
Rooted in the earth, and clothed in stars, she contemplates the past and the future to come on the longest night of the year.

This is my first artwork minted on Foundation, and represents my official debut as a digital artist.
Painted in Procreate on the iPad Pro using methods familiar to those who work on canvas. I started with a sketch, and built up the forms using layers of colors, from shadow to light. All together the work took around 20 hours to complete.
